Mane are recruiting for a CEM to work in Uddingston on a permanent basis. Your duties as a CEM will be The Engineering Manager is ultimately responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of project works. Responsible for delivery of safe, buildable design solutions for a portfolio of schemes or a major project, delivering on time and within budget working with the relevant project management throughout the life cycle of the projects.
Working under direction of the Practice Director to deliver portfolio projects in the role of CEM.
Work will consist of writing reports, managing CRE's to deliver design submissions, providing a fully assured engineering solution, providing design integration and leadership.
The CEM will hold a design log and manage a Hazard log throughout the design life cycle, holding design meetings and IDR meetings to ensure the highest quality of Safety by design possible.
Work with our client and stakeholders to optimise the scope and deliver efficient timely high quality designs.
Work to the framework engineering management plan.
Manage Deliverables and Resources to ensure efficiency of delivery.
Work with the client team to avoid quality problems, and capture added value early in the project lifecycles.
Able to communicate well at all levels.
Driven and confident to collaborate with our client and stakeholders.
To be able to manage integration meetings in a high pressure environment.
Experience of engineering management activities.
Understanding of the construction of engineering projects.
Ability to manage a large engineering team located across the world.
Candidates will ideally have experience within the rail sector in either CRE or CEM positions on design projects. Candidates who have rail design, integration and/or assurance experience will also be considered.
