WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior CADD Technician / CADD Manager for our Downtown Kansas City, Missouri office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Acts as a Lead CADD Operator
Mentors all CADD users in the IKON Area (Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Western Missouri)
Determines and defines standards and methods of performance measurement
Enforces and is responsible for all CADD drawings/graphics generated by staff
Maintains CADD system
Provides CADD related quality assurance review
Makes decisions on personnel actions (interviewing and hiring)
Monitors CADD productivity of technicians and engineers
Prepare roadway and bridge designs, structural, civil, traffic, drainage and utilities, survey and construction drawings to support transit, highway, local agency, and other transportation clients.
Lead all CADD users on the latest technology updates
Perform varied design and quantity calculations

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
The selected candidate must be able to work in the United States immediately
Formal CADD training preferred and a minimum of ten (10) years CADD experience
Proficiency in ProjectWise, Open Roads, Inroads
Experience with Civil 3D and Drainage Design Software
Desire to be a leader, mentor, and teacher
Very good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
Some design build experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience setting up and delivering KDOT and MoDOT projects
Conceptual, Preliminary and Final Design Skills
Experience in managing staff
