Position Description
Working within a dynamic team, you will play a key role in ensuring that Allianz and its clients trade in a compliant manner to reduce or mitigate any risk or regulatory exposure.
Sitting within the Head Office in Guildford, this role is to provide and support a comprehensive governance processes across a key part of our business. You will be involved in Inspections and Underwriting Governance functions and will work with various areas of the business.
You will work as part of a team and your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating changes to documentation such as policy wordings
Ensuring that detailed report findings are issued to internal and external stakeholders within Service level agreements
Understanding, developing and maintaining underwriting controls across both Commercial and Personal lines to minimise the exposure to the business and recommend remedial action where required.
Follow the robust programme and processes for inspections and due diligence, ensuring alignment with strategy, appetite and authorities and that any gaps or process improvements are identified.
Working collaboratively with a variety of business areas to drive forward recommendations/actions to a conclusion
Developing and reviewing Technical Processes to support the Allianz Renewal Agenda and Technical Excellence
Supporting the coordination and internal referrals relating to Allianz Standards of Underwriting ensuring that the annual review process is completed
Creating a strong internal network and use influence to bring about business change as well as supporting any projects and change programmes.
Working with other areas of the business to ensure technical content is signed off by the correct business function
Reviewing and obtaining sign off for Technical communications
Being a central point of contact for the technical issues and assisting with the investigation and solution
There is a requirement for nationwide travel and (where absolutely necessary) overnight stays away from home, both of whichare claimed viaexpenses. You will hold a full driving licence.
Skills & Experience
This role would suit someone who has an underwriting or operational background and who is looking for a role with a difference and to develop in their insurance career. However full training and support will be provided.
PC literate with knowledge of Power Point and Word, Excel and Visio
Excellent organisational skills with previous experience of coordination, planning and administration
Effective communicator, ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels and the ability to work as part of a team
Ability to be able to maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders while delivering audit findings
Strong presentation and report writing skills, ability to report findings in a clear, logical and succinct manner resulting in internal and external buy in
An awareness of the regulatory requirements relating to General Insurance
Possess a good knowledge of market conditions and current issues affecting Allianz and the wider industry
