Our client is a UK-based, leading global player for distribution of Aviation Lubricants & Consumables, Spares & Aviation Components, Repair & Maintenance, Safety & GSE, Tooling and Tyres. They are headquartered in Leeds city centre and have two regional offices; one in Dubai World Central for the Middle East region and another in Tallinn covering Eastern Europe and the Baltics. They have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant with Previous relevant financial experience in similar role to join their vibrant team.
To assist in providing a comprehensive finance administration service to the Finance Manager and company.
Salary 20,000 – 22,000 per Year
DUTIES
Updating and reconciling computerized stock records
Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of UK monthly VAT returns, EC sales lists and Intrastat returns
Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of UAE quarterly VAT returns
Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of the accounting records for our UAE Company
Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of UK annual accounts
Assisting the Purchase Ledger Clerk/Credit Controller as required
Ensure that VAT per Sage VAT return agrees to nominal values
Summarise clocking in machine timesheets every month
Process monthly payroll
Processing statutory sick, maternity and paternity payments
Print and issue pay slips and P45s
Annual year end payroll procedures including issuing P60s
Monthly submissions to HMRC relating to RTI
Monthly salary journal from payroll to Sage Line 50
Deal with pension provider: NEST
Deal with child care voucher scheme provider: Fideliti
Reconciling stock movements weekly
Ensure stock valuation as per Sage agrees to actual stock held
Verify stock movements, in and out, to purchase and sales invoices
GENERAL
To comply to all company policies and procedures
To ensure compliance with Quality and Health and Safety systems and processes
Attend internal and external meetings as required
Commitment to personal development and attend relevant training courses as required
Any other duties as commensurate to the post
Part qualified/qualified ACCA/AAT qualification or other relevant qualification – must have sage line 50 experience
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am 5pm
