(NASDAQ: CIGI; TSX: CIGI), an industry leading global real estate services company with more than 16,000 skilled professionals operating in 66 countries.How you’ll contribute as a Construction Administrator at Colliers Project Leaders:Proven communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders including daily traffic commuters, business owners, and the general publicBe the primary representative for the client on the site and responsible for administering the terms of the construction agreement, ensuring the contractor’s performance is in line with the contract documents and that the client’s best interests are protectedProvide supervision and guidance to junior and senior inspectors on various construction site projectsEnsure and promote ongoing adherence to health and safety policies and guidelines on site in accordance with applicable health and safety regulationsEnsure regulation compliance through preliminary and ongoing site plan reviewsPrepare reporting, quantity measurements, claims and payment certificationsLiaise and ensure ongoing, effective communication between clients, contractors and consultantsWhat you’ll bring to the table:Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction administration of MTO, municipal, or public works type contracts including roadway and bridge construction.A university degree or diploma in civil engineering or related disciplineRegistered or eligible to register for P.Eng. or CET with the Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) designationSound knowledge of design standards, specifications and materials associated with construction, laws and regulations including environmental, traffic control, and occupational health and safety requirements and their application in construction contractsPrevious experience and education or training in dispute resolution, MTO T131 Advanced Claims – Dispute Resolution certification an assetRelevant construction contract administration experience on transportation projectsPrevious experience performing asphalt, grading and structural inspectionsAptitude for reading and interpreting construction drawings and specificationsEffective leadership and organizational skills with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client, project and technical issuesExcellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skillsStrong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications
