This is an exciting opportunity for a Creative Director to join an accomplished team of communications experts in our Glasgow office. This position works across big name brands with both a local and international focus. You’ll be an accomplished creative professional with a head for business and creativity.
This position will involve: Overseeing and being responsible for; the creative output of Weber Shandwick Scotland, to include – the ideation, presentation and execution of client branding and marketing communications campaigns; the profitability and creative quality of client projects. 
Core activities will include:
  • Devise, develop and guide creative solutions that effectively communicate the strategic objectives of agency clients
  • Ensure that creative function of Weber Shandwick Scotland; culture, team, capabilities, tools, processes, expectations, work style and other elements support the strategic goals of Weber Shandwick
  • Lead creative workshops for clients and internally
  • Develop and mentor a creative team and implement processes and structures to support them
  • Ensure that the creative output of Weber Shandwick is ahead of our competition and that a high quality of creative and production is upheld, maintaining consistently high standards
  • Oversee new business brainstorms and planning sessions where relevant. Assist in and oversee the writing and presenting of creative campaign plans to clients
  • Assist in revenue growth across current client portfolio and new business through development of creative campaigns, projects and ideas
  • Support the business development team with proactive and reactive new business outreach through the development of creative ideas for target brands and companies.
Candidates will have;
  • Solid experience in a creative leadership role
  • Advanced knowledge of user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing and the creative process
  • Experience in areas including branding, packaging, events, experiential and luxury goods (ideally drink brands)
  • Demonstrate experience in leading winning creative new business pitched
  • Demonstrated experience managing the creative development process in a client-services environment
  • Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and provide timely, helpful feedback to improve creative processes and to keep work on budget and schedule
  • Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities, both internal and client-facing
  • Ability to prioritise work and resources across engagements based on short and long-term needs
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills with experience guiding large teams
You will:
  • Provide senior level client creative counsel
  • Facilitate the input and output of creative client meetings
  • Creative lead for client presentations
  • Deliver strategic communication solutions that help our clients achieve their marketing and communications adjectives
  • Be a key player in developing external thought leadership work
  • Contribute to the strategic and creative development of the agency’s marketing efforts
  • Improve the overall quality of the agency’s portfolio, measured by client satisfaction and award winning work.
  • Devise and oversee the creative best practices and processes
Account Team Management
  • Provide daily leadership, direction and guidance to account teams where appropriate. Ensure a consistently high quality of work and return on investment to the client
  • Timesheet Management - ensure that your timesheets are completed on a timely basis and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Briefing/informing the team - provide comprehensive briefs to the team with clear guidelines, expectations and guidelines
  • Team motivation - inspire and motivate team members to meet objectives by communicating clear tasks and actions
  • Team guidance and ideas - be approachable for team support, guidance, input, feedback and ideas
  • Motivation - demonstrate a high level of energy and vigour to the team, regardless of circumstances
