Weber Shandwick are looking for an experienced Associate Director  to join our successful Healthcare Practice.
Role Overview
The Digital Associate Director has a critical role in helping to shape the immediate and future needs and on-going success of the health practice.  Acting as a digital strategist to health clients, you will have the confidence and relevant expertise to provide high level consultancy to your clients, identifying opportunities for organic and new business growth.
You will be responsible for designing and planning integrated digital media offerings that target multiple health care audiences using a variety of social media channels.
Working closely with the directors in health, you will help build the health digital offering, as well as playing a big part in new business development. As a senior player we expect you to provide strategic leadership in the digital space, proposal and pitch development is crucial to the success of the role.
The Digital Associate Director will help manage and mentor members of the wider health digital team. Whilst health expertise is not essential, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate they truly understand the health space and have a real passion for communicating health to a broad range of audiences.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience of managing and activating integrated campaigns including Facebook and other channel activation.
Competencies and responsibilities:

  • Demonstrable great digital/social experience, including strategy, media buying, and user experience (5-7 years)
  • Provide strategic digital leadership to teams through inspiration, influence and enabling team members to achieve a specific mission or task
  • Work within a results focused environment. Add senior value at every level to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
  • Demonstrate understanding and passion for health client’s business
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with senior-level clients and enhance the company's reputation as a digital health strategist by providing client counsel
  • Demonstrate creativity through ideas generation, proposal development and client plans
  • Problem solving - assessing and providing counsel and practical solutions
  • Excel across all spheres of digital strategy and integrated digital communications, ensuring a demonstration of excellence through leadership/example
  • Demonstrable success in integrated digital communications (either for clients or in house) particularly in terms of audience engagement (whether influencers, end customers, or both)
  • Able to navigate changeable and fast-paced environments with high expectations
  • Understanding of the regulation and compliance associated with health communications
  • Ability to track integrated activity back to business outcomes (conversions, awareness, sales, etc.)
  • Quality standards - set high quality standards across digital teams, have an eye for detail and proactively contribute to quality standards across the company
  • Presentation skills -- be an excellent and confident, senior convincing presenter that exudes credibility in all meetings whether internal or external
  • Understanding of commercial aspects of integrated digital work (costs, margins, ROI) and up to date knowledge of digital research and analytics
  • Strong motivational and mentoring skills
  • Second to none levels of organisation

You will have strong and recognised writing capabilities, having published written work on digital strategy.
